Having worked in the construction industry for over 10 years, in 2015 Tim and I created Houghton Lewis Group with one aim to establish a company that would deliver high build quality, efficiency and customer service on budget and on time.   During the past year we have seen an increase in enquiries for bespoke garden buildings and TimberEscapes is a natural extension of our brand and offers the same level of customer service and quality our clients expect from HLG.  This is made possible by the team that we have hand picked and the culture Tim and I have built within the business to deliver our client's projects.  

Prior to creating Houghton Lewis Group in 2015 with Simon, I ran my own electrical company and joining with Simon felt a natural progression with both of us sharing the same philosophy of creating a company with a specific culture and ethos based on high quality work and excellent customer service.   The team that we have built as well as the sub contractors we use have a history of exceptional workmanship and take pride in delivering projects on time and on budget.  As we see the trend towards home working as well as the need for additional space for relaxation and creativity we are excited for the team to expand into this area and look forward to delivering new projects.  

I joined HLG in 2020 and have joined a fantastic team that prides itself on customer service and high quality building works.  I have 15 years of experience in the building industry with 8 years of specialised bricklaying experience but I am always looking to learn new skills on the job and this is made possible within HLG. 

During my spare time I spend it with my daughters and partner and sometimes can be found on a bank fishing like Paul!

I joined the team in 2016 and during the past few years I have been given the opportunity to develop an expertise in timber frames and carpentry with a view to overseeing individual sites in the near future.    I enjoy working for Simon and Tim and look forward to the continued growth.  When I'm not working I enjoy spending time with my wife and friends.

I joined the team in 2019 as a qualified carpenter.  Whilst this is my specialised area and an area that I enjoy I also like to learn and pick up other skills.  I enjoy working on site and creating things to be appreciated by our clients.   I like to try my hand at most things, and I enjoy working on a project to its finished outcome.  When I am not working I enjoy watching sport, mainly boxing, and enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

I joined HLG in 2017.   I have found my interest sits in carpentry and this is an area that I continue to work on. 

My enthusiasm for the building trade has meant that I have become a good all round labourer.

I joined HLG in 2018 managing the customer service side of the business as well as all of the office administration and customer and supplier accounts.
